🏆 What a way to end our SmallSat trip!
One of the absolute highlights of the Small Satellite Conference was seeing our Research Assistant, Bruno Ingrao, place third in the Small Satellite Conference (SmallSat) Student Competition! 🚀
Bruno presented his research on maintaining precision pointing in CubeSats under reaction wheel degradation, work he carried out with Star Forge. His achievement came with an incredible set of awards: a travel scholarship to attend SmallSat, a $5,000 award, and a travel award to attend the 4S Symposium -Small Satellites Systems and Services in 2028. 🎉🛰️
Having had the opportunity to mentor Bruno and watch his research develop from its early stages through to presenting it on the SmallSat stage made this recognition particularly special. Seeing his hard work recognized by the SmallSat community was a very proud moment and the perfect way to close out an amazing week in Utah.
Congratulations, Bruno! Very well deserved, and I can’t wait to see where you take your work next. 👏
