🌎🛰️ A great start to Small Satellite Conference (SmallSat) with Natalia Vélez-Serrano presenting her research!
Natalia presented her poster, “Onboard Conjunction Assessment in LEO Using TLE-Based Multi-Fidelity Propagation,” at the Small Satellite Conference in Salt Lake City.
Her research explores computationally efficient approaches to onboard conjunction assessment, an increasingly important capability as the number of spacecraft and potential conjunctions in Low Earth Orbit continues to grow. The work looks at how greater onboard autonomy can support more responsive and scalable Space Traffic Management and Space Situational Awareness for small satellites.
It has been incredibly rewarding to mentor Natalia and see her research progress from an idea to work being shared with the broader SmallSat community. 🚀
Congratulations, Natalia, on a successful presentation and this well-deserved milestone! 👏
